Why should kids learn computational thinking ?

Computational Thinking (CT) is an approach to problem solving that combines human ideas with the power of computing. It is about organising a problem such that a computing device can help solve it. 

Why teach computational thinking ? 

  • Computational Thinking is a life skill essential for survival in the 21st century. It lays the foundation of coding and is future proof. Just like how it is important for kids to learn English, Maths and Science even though they may not all become writers, mathematicians or scientists, the kids born in this millennium need baseline tech competencies to stay relevant.

At Kinder Koder we use fun games and activities to develop computational thinking in kindergarten students (3-7 years of age). 

Aligned with international standards such as – CSTA (Computer Science Teachers Association), UK’s computing at school, Singapore’s computing education framework and India’s CMC. We have developed our own teaching framework which is tailor made for kindergarten and elementary school students.
